B.A.G. auditions are open to the public and no prior experience is necessary. 

If you have a headshot or resume, feel free to bring them to your audition or email to buttsactingguild@gmail.com however neither is required. All actors must complete an Audition Form and a Release of Liability. (Click the buttons at the bottom of this page to access the forms.)

• Auditions for Plays will take place In Person
• Upon arrival, Actors will complete the Audition Form and Release of Liability, if not previously submitted.
• Actors will also be asked to do cold readings at the audition.  Sides will be provided.
• Actors may request to read for any role they wish.

Play Auditions typically take place on Monday and Tuesday. Actors from Monday night may choose to attend Tuesday to read again. Formal callbacks are not held for plays. 

Following the last night of auditions, emails will be sent and the cast list posted to our social media platforms.

Prepared pieces are not required for play auditions.

 Auditions for Musicals will be held Virtually. Callbacks will be held In Person​.

• Virtual Audition Submissions will be open for 3 days. 
• During this period, your filmed audition, the Audition Form and the Release of Liability should be submitted to our email at buttsactingguild@gmail.com
• Your Audition Video should be a piece from the musical you're auditioning for and include the following:
•      First and Last Name
•      The name of the role(s) you are auditioning for (please include Ensemble if interested)
•      A recording of your prepared audition song

Notes about your Audition Video:

•      The quality of the video is not important as long as we can hear and understand you
•      Film audition video in landscape
•      Limit to songs from the musical repertoire 
•      Limit songs to 16 Bars (or 30 seconds) in length
•      Please sing your song with karaoke or piano accompaniment. NO a cappella auditions.

• At Callbacks, Actors will be asked to read an excerpt from the script and learn a dance combination. You may also be asked to learn and sing an excerpt from a song. There will be time to look over scripts/learn music and choreography before the audition takes place.
• Following Callbacks, emails will be sent and the cast list posted to our social media platforms.

Rehearsals: Monday and Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 @ the Director's home in Jackson (address will be provided to cast), starting 6/1/26

Performance Dates: August 21-23, 2026
